STEP-2: Open the four inner screws on the Acoustic Head to separate the acoustic head assembly
from the Magnet Assembly. See Fig. 2.
STEP-3: Replace the defective Diaphragm with the new one. Take care that 11 mark on the diaphragm matches with L1 mark on the acoustic head. No rubber washer i o be used between the diaphragm and magnet assembly. If there is a rubber washer in the driver unit, it should be removed and discarded when using this diaphragm.
STEP-4: Clean the air gap in the Magnet Assembly with a folded strip of adhesive tape (with
adhesive side exposed on the both sides). See Fig. 3.
STEP-5: Reassemble the Acoustic Head and the Magnet Assembly ensuring that the Diaphragm
goes smoothly into the air gap without the edge of the former getting spoiled in any way. See Fig. 4. STEP-6: Tighten the four inner screws on the Acoustic Head. The 4 nos. aluminium washers must be
in place below the screw heads to achieve proper sealing.
STEP-7: Check with a Multimeter the countinuity between L1 & L2 terminals: also ensure that L1& 12 terminals are not shorting with the body.
STEP-8: Reassemble the cup, taking care that red wire from the transformer goes to the L1 terminal of the diaphragm and fully tighten the four screws. Ensure that the rubber ring between head and cup is put properly to prevent entry of water.
STEP-9 Test the Driver Unit by first playing music at very low volume.
